Another favorite Lalo Schifrin score, and one of those rare instances in which the producer, in accepting the Academy Award for Best Documentary Film, thanked the composer for his contribution. In this case, it was immense, and Schifrin’s score for this film about insects is extraordinary, with themes and colors that range from conventional to wild and way-out.
