The Razor’s Edge
Liner Notes
This 1946 Fox film is quite underrated, and Alfred Newman’s score tackles the unique challenge of putting into music a man’s quest for spirituality and universal truths. I’m still fascinated by it all. My notes about Newman’s work are joined by Rudy Behlmer’s on the creation of the film and Ray Faiola’s looking at each individual cue.
